How often is this thread title stated, although, of course, in more sympathetic terms? Here is why.

Why are people so obsessed with the war crimes of the Israeli state?

The above post is actually a simplification.
Here is a fact.
On average, Israel receives approximately $2 million in military "aid" from the United States per day. That is, from the most powerful military power in the world, indeed which the world has ever seen (as well as the most destructive).
Now, the people of the occupied territories live in abject poverty. The fact of the matter is, there is no such thing as a *********** "state" in the world today. To put it briefly, the ************ are all but powerless in the face of Israeli repression.
This is an issue in which there is not such a thing as neutrality, at least not from the standpoint of the West, let alone Americans. So called "neutrality" amounts to passive support of the status quot. That is, it amounts to passive support for the utter crimes against humanity of the Israeli state against the *********** people.Last edited by Drunken Cat; 07-21-2010, 03:18 PM.

Some are some aren't. We have so many here dumping biased stories on us here it's become a propaganda machine in the lounge. For every one sided story dumped on us here I could find an opposite opinionated story going the other way. Too much of it in the lounge for most of us.

So its natural that they would try to fight back. They don't have tanks and jets so they resort to desperate measures.
I look at it as a triumph of the human spirit that they could make such extraordinary sacrifices for that universal desire every person holds dear.
That desire, is liberty.
