Very sad report. As to why the rise is happening, that is above my pay grade. I don't like people making light of this situation, though. Not saying anybody is here, just that I don't find anything to joke about in this instance.

peacetime military life is not very stressful.

like i posted earlier , in times of war military suicide rates are on par with civilian suicide rates.

the huge rise is due to the very low rate of suicides among military personnel in peacetime.

...Bull****!!!! We can't even slap around a ********* these days without getting into trouble. The ones that commit suicide just mirror society in general. ****ed up and confused individuals looking for a way out.

Not bull****, talk to some of the guys who are home and ask them whats the worst thing they've seen or done.. you're most likely to get a response of "Where do I begin..?".
