How do i capture images from a media file

I want to capture a frame from wmv, mpg and avi files but when i use print screen it doesnt work. How i do it?

you have to have a media player that will actually capture the image. i know that windvd has this function but the image isn't that clear.

I've also heard (but don't use) Powerdvd has this feature.
