There are several mountain roads in China that are straight up terrifying. Ive been road tripping alot and have been on some crazy trails but the worst was one was around Northern Cali recently. Driving down to Yosemite I hit a single lane road on a twisty mountain called Murderer's Gulch that killed my high quick. It's not my first time on single lane trails and most have turn-outs but this one was different. Not only was the road narrower than usual for my wide truck, but the road stretched for miles with barely any turn outs and no barriers. Fortunately there were no on coming vehicles because it would have been very dangerous to maneuver around each other.
If ya ever run into Murderer's Gulch in Sonora county, take the longer route lol.

When I was in Australia, we were in the SUV that the nature guide was driving on a dirt and rock road when it started raining so he stopped and said the water always wins. We were waiting about 20 minutes when another SUV drove through the water flooding down (it was maybe a couple inches deep) and somehow got stuck before they could make it out of the water completely. I don't know what happened to them. When the flooding stopped, our guide just drove by them to take us to the primordial forest. I've never seen plants so huge in my life and we got within 10 feet of a full grown female Cassowary.travestyny likes this.
