He has substance abuse issues - I can say from experience it's likely to impact on his health in many different ways. Didn't know anything about the dude but my first thought when it was mentioned he'd had pneumonia was to check the story for mention of substance abuse.

I can't say for sure from the information provided that's it's that but aspiration pneumonia is a relatively common cause of death and serious damage amongst users of systemic depressives (alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines and other sedatives). Willing to bet his drugs of choice are downers and most likely that he mixes em. Alcohol and opiates (my former DOCs) make a particularly lethal combination.



I oughta know - nearly pollished me off back in 08 - spent 2 weeks in an induced coma on a ventilator and they nearly couldn't bring me out again. Got some scarring to my lung tissue too which ain't great for my breathing and endurance.

Weird crossover like when I see boxing/ufc threads on the skateboarding forum I frequent after picking up that pass time again late in life.

Bam is kind of a kook but I still wish him well. He has had so many opportunities to get sober and straighten out his life but keeps ****ing up royally. I can relate though so I have sympathy. He has a young son too so all the more reason to keep living.
