    [HOLY S**T!] Police: Student Kills Intruder With Sword

    BALTIMORE (Sept. 15) - A Johns Hopkins University student armed with a samurai sword killed a suspected burglar in a garage behind his off-campus home early Tuesday, hours after someone broke in and stole electronics.

    Some shocked neighbors said they heard bloodcurdling screams in an area just blocks from the university. Police held the student, a junior chemistry major who turns 21 on Sunday, for several hours, but he was not charged with any crimes Tuesday, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.

    Around 1:20 a.m., the student heard noises behind the home and noticed a door to the garage was open, Guglielmi said. He grabbed the sword and confronted the intruder — identified by police as Donald D. Rice, 49, a habitual offender who had just been released from jail.

        that kid's future psychologically is ****ed unless he represses that memory. who would have thought that flea market steel could get the job done.

          Did the burglar have a gun or weapon on him? If not it is murder.

            he won't catch a murder charge for this. if that kid gets in front of a jury and recounts being attacked by a burgalur inside his home and lashing out to protect his well being, no jury will hand down a murder charge. the absolute worst he'd get is justifiable homicide.

              The way the neighbors described it, sounds like the kid was slashing the burglar apart a bunch of times. They kept hearing screams, Idk... I think this kid may have killed someone, I don't agree with robbing people and **** but I have a feeling this burglar didn't attack the kid at all.

              This kid put himself into a predicament and will need a good lawyer to get off.

                all depends on the da. if they decide to pursue a charge he will. but he'll probably get off clean. the article said the burglar attacked him first and that his left hand was almost severed. the kid probably had the sword in his right hand and swung wildly at the guy when came after him. that's what i'd think happened.

                  Well that's just ****ing hardcore is what that is.

                  But I wonder if he really used it, or like the Burglar was a ***** and just fell into his kill web where he poked him with it.

                  The "Bloodcurdling screams" sound pretty ugly like he was chasing him around slashing him in a non samurai more like barbarian fashion.
