Good read. That was a great music scene.

Even though I'm mainly a metal/hard rock guy, I love the new wave, 80s goth sound. The Cure was still big in the 90s, so that's where I get my start and dug dug deeper and got into Joy Division. Then from there I got into bands like Sisters of Mercy and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Also, it's also easier to get laid playing New Order for your date rather than bands like Slayer or Death lol.
