Eat one meal a day, then wash your teeth.

If you get really hungry later in the day, eat a snack, you'll still be well under caloric intake.

Exercise I find makes you want to eat more, you need to replace energy and you think you're entitled to eat more because you put the work in, which you over-estimate, with the result you stay at the same weight.

Thanks for the advice. Is there any reason why you wash your teeth post meal? I’m a twice a day before bed and in the morning kind of guy.

Do you have any loose skin?
It's made a lot of difference to my knee which was starting to ache a lot, and just generally how I look and my overall confidence. Even though I was really heavy and bulky all over (I have rings that fall off me now because my fingers have shrank!) I hadn't got big belly rolls or anything before, and as I took the weight off gradually I don't have any excess skin or anything. You can get of crash diets that'll lose more weight more quickly but it does have the high likely hood of loose skin

Suppresses appetite I find, also it's a feeling of closure on eating for the day. Give it 30 mins post-meal, enamel is vulnerable before that.

When you eat only once a day and brush your teeth immediately after

you’re less likely to eat again

you don’t want to waste the work you did when you brushed your teeth

brushing teeth after your planned final eat for the day makes you commit to no more eating

one meal a day is a great method to eat less

You’ll be very satisfied with only one meal a day. Imagine a mini 2000 calorie buffet each time you eat once for the day

Two years ago I quit alcohol and dropped 15 pounds in two months without changing anything else. Booze is the devil.

Eat under 2000 calories a day, set out a plan for meals (how many, when etc). The hardest part will be the first week or two but then you'll get used to it. Try your best not to break the routine, you'll tell yourself it's a one off but that one off becomes more frequent and before you know it the diet has gone out of the window.

edit: If you want to keep as much muscle mass as possible try and fit in 100+ grams of protein in a day.

                  Here’s a tip.

But seriously. I fully believe that portion control is key here. Never eat until you’re full. I’m guilty here I have gained probably 10 to 15 pounds in the past 2 to 3 years. I’m sure part of that is just getting older too. I think diets more important than exercise.

When dieting if you go sleep hungry, you did good work that day

I mean you don’t necessarily starve yourself, but if you’re eating small, I’d say you’re doing a pretty good job.
