I agree with you. However, if he paid attention to the guy coming with the hatchet, he wouldn't have been blindsided. Maybe its just me, but if I see this, I am preparing for the worst case scenario and there is no way you'll be able to blind side me. At that moment, I am making a life survival mode decision. You have a better chance of not being gravely injured if you're not being blind sided and becoming immediately incapacitated.

Furthermore... The assailant dropped the hatchet which obviously there would be prints on it. Leaving me to believe he may not be mentally all there or did not give a F if he got caught. Or maybe there could be history of bad blood between them, who knows? One thing is for sure, it takes balls and no heart to swing a hatchet at someone's head with the intent to end their life.

Life and death situations, you have no idea how automatic you respond to something like this. The main objective is to get the hatchet away from the guy. How? Use the bag or whatever he had to deflect or to parry the attack and do your best to grab the weapon. I know, its easier said then done as I sit here behind my keyboard. But, I'm telling you survival instinct kicks in and the focus you have becomes almost matrix like.

I live in Central NY and the amount of Dem/Lib support is utterly disgusting to me. I rarely discuss my political views with anyone because it 99% ends in some type of war of words, especially on Facebook.
