Neither I nor my wife any longer wear a mask. We have both received the MODERNA vaccine several months ago without any health issues associated with it. Any medical professional can tell you the value of wearing a mask to help minimize the chance of passing communicable disease. My wife caught COVID during the very start of the pandemic (minor symptoms) when the hospital she works became overwhelmed with extremely ill COVID patients. She was pulled from the OR where she has worked for over 30 years into the ICU. At that time every bed in ICU held a COVID patient. All but one of which on a ventilator. She spent the next week helping wrap dead bodies of those same patients who one after another passed away. Three of her coworkers died during this time period. Two were over 60 but another, a fellow RN, was 42 with no other health issues.

Several family friends became seriously ill with COVID. One was on a ventilator and feeding tube TWICE before eventually recovering. Another still struggles with health issues.
