are you serious??? i understand you probably consider yourself a tremendous expert on the sport because you watch the match of the day every once in awhile, but you're talking to someone well-versed in serie a. if you seriously think darmian and paletta are the caliber of defenders to start for a good italy side, you're smoking crack. aquilani and cassano are on the squad for gods sakes, both are well well past it.

Granted the defence is weak.

Ballotelli is the perfect lone striker, can produce magic, drop short for the ball, hold the ball up on the ground and in the air while also having pace to run in behind. There is very few strikers in the world that are capable of this.

Pirlo is as quality as ever, ages like a fine wine, possibly the best deep play maker there has ever been.

Candreva is quality.

Veratti will undoubtedly replace Pirlo one day, while Pirlo is almost irreplacebale he will do a fine job.

Marchisio again is world class and he and Pirlo have been one of the main reason Juve have blown away Serie A 3 out of the 4 seasons.

This Italy side is underated.

I've played football for several professional Youth academy's, and been paid to play semi professionally since the age of 16, the quality of insight and tactical knowledge displayed on MOTD is FA badge level one, a qualification that everyone and my Granny could achieve.

Agree with all that, plus the way they play the game is perfect for the Heat in brazil, they're such annoying team to play against, they play in second gear for so much of the game, giving you the impression the game is very even, but they know what exactly what they're doing. Stepping up at the opportune moment through the incredible level of intelligence they have.

The only people that get it are Henry and Lineker. The offside trap was clearly intentional but, a top quality striker would have stuck that in the net.
