If they took Koke into the squad I'd of definitely thought he'd of been their starting player, possibly playing him over Busquets/Alonso.

Xavi has lost it, hasn't had it for the past few years he should definitely be dropped.

You kidding its been hit and miss atleast the officiating with the games over in Africa were more fair.

This one just stinks of constant **** calls, blinds linemen and what would you expect when Brazil play... Biased decisions and ignoring blatant fouls to favour them bunch of ****s!

I just hope we get a decent ref and linesmen who can actually see for this game with the Italians today, time to jump on the Italians early a very winnable game.

I personally thought Alba was wandering upfront a tad too much and leaving too much space I don't think that would be the case with Juanfran.

Ramos in my opinion was at fault for most of the defensive frailties, he didn't maintain the shape of the line and wasn't marking properly I know he can be a game changer but when he plays like that it must be annoying to watch from a Spanish footballing fans point of view.
I don't know either Ramos needs to be told to maintain shape and stop going forward so often or he needs to be replaced, he looked very tired midway through the second.

You have to remember there is a hell of a lot of big egos in that squad I'm not sure how one of the two Pique/Ramos would cope with not being picked.
That's probably my best bet as to why Inigo didn't get picked plus they also do have Javi Martinez who can operate in that role.

Yeah, Ramos was very poor. If I had to pick him or Pique, it would be Ramos every time though.

Not sold on Martinez at centre half yet. Seen him there a couple of times and not looked comfortable there.

But I think De Gea, Koke and Pedro have to come in at the very least.

I'd rather watch entertaining games of football with the odd referee blunder thrown in as opposed to the absolute dross football that was served up in South Africa (where a lot of the refereeing was also ****e anyway).

As I already said yesterday, a lot of these officials don't have experience reffing high pressure games so they're gonna be prone to errors. It's gonna happen every now and again, get over it and try to enjoy it.

A South African woman ruptured her throat while taking part in a vuvuzela-blowing competition, but said Friday she was recovering with no permanent damage.
