It's not an impressive Cup win but Arsenal were coming a bit of a non-entity for me.

They needed that whatever way it came.

No top club can go that long without winning anything. I don't really respect 4th place as an achievement. Ipswich came 4th once.

Arsenal's starting line up cost £131 million to Hull's £13 million. They were meant to win and they did.

Maybe it will have a galvanising effect?

I think they will need to spend a lot in the summer to mount another real title challenge. Chelsea and Man United, City, and Liverpool will probably all bring in 2-3 big money signings.
