This summer on sky sports news....after world cup...United sign this player, that player.

I wonder if it was moyes who had the final decision on giving Rooney that contract.

    New manager, Bench.

But that team looks too good to be true.

A lot of selling and buying this summer, not sure if a world cup is a good thing or bad.

Phil Jones overated to crap. i like rafael though.
No chance most of those happen.. 1 or 2 at best.. United need to sort out the defence though.. it's a phcking mess.. another issue is that we used to have good wingers and ****ty central midfield.. and the only 2 good midfielders we have both play CAM

We need 3 or 4 quality players.. but what we have isn't bad.. RVP, De Gea, Rooney, Mata, Kagwa, Carrick, Chicharito, Rafael, Jones are all good/quality players

    .
Lets be honest the years United didn't win the league Arsenal probably would have.. two clubs going about things the right way.. but the league would be "boring" to most fans..

United extended there stadium WELL before anyone else and profited from it.. Arsenal tried the same.. but in that time City/Chelsea burst on to the scene splashing huge amounts..

I see what you mean.. it sucks when the likes of Bayern go and basically use Bayern as a feeder club.. City did it to Arsenal also.

      Lazy bastard.

If that twat Zapata bothered to get himself back onside there he would have had a open net tap in.

Yeah they're 3 nil up but as a fckin striker you'd think they'd be desperate for goals.

Instead he's casually trodding along back trying to look cool and worry more about not getting involved in play to get flagged offside rather than getting his lazy arse onside.

United need to sell, and sell fast, they cant go a couple seasons without champions league football.

united need 5-6 players IMO, 1-2 wont be good enough,

Only reason a few of them wouldnt join is cause of champs league...

If you can offer rooney 300k per week, a few of them players wont mind 200k and no champs league for one season.

if united sign 5 or 6 player, and sell 5 or 6 not very good players, your cleverlys, fletchers, Chicharito, i like evra, apparently his off though, ferdinand goes, vidic is gone.

Real Madrid are spoilt when it comes to left backs. Give United Marcelo Madrid (wont happen, so give us the other guy, concentraio?).

United need to catch up, needs to happen this summer.

Villa can't have spent 180m in 5 years?

Are those just transfer fees? Seems very high for a lot of teams.

Maybe not. Arsenal had the most debt of any club for a while and there was talk of them going under.

However on the other hand, FFP rules punishe smaller teams that are investing heavily so they can compete with the established european giants of football. Yes, it's fairly obvious what they are aiming for. I mean if they were really interested in fair play then there would be serious questions about the revenue sharing scheme dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Spanish league, not to mention their scandalous tax breaks.

If UEFA really want to make football 'fair', they should put an NFL/NBA/NHL like salary cap on every single team playing in the top European leagues. FFP solves problems but creates just as many.
It solves no problems apart from the ones suffered by the teams that managed to dominate the finances of football in the 90s.

Willian is a good player. Bu £32 million, lol?

I simply don't believe Chelsea paid close to that for him. I read before it was 30 million Euros.

The way FFP works is that money made from players sold is taken immediately into the current review periods figures and players in are based on the amortised payments over the length of a contract. Bit silly.

It is such a messed up system. City have only been pulled up because they don't seem to be doing anything at all to take it seriously. If they had sold James Milner or something for £10-15 million they probably would have been alright.

From Chelsea's perspective I'd be happy to pull the drawbridge up behind us but FFP is surely going to prove unenforceable.

City are going to be the team that tests it. I bet they take UEFA to the cleaners.
