Barca on Saturday, despite it being against poor opposition, were the best they have been since Pep left.
I'm looking forward to it, should be a good attacking game. I don't think city will be as attacking as they are in the PL.

If Fernandinho is fit to start I think we could nick it tomorrow.

Then with Aguero back for the 2nd leg who knows.

Not sure if we can stop them scoring away goals which could be our undoing, especially if we go 2 in midfield which we probably will.

Can't ****ing wait for it now though, stadium should be bouncing at kickoff.
told you you'd be excited when it comes around. There's something about European nights. I was at the united vs Munich game in 2010 and the atmosphere before the game was a mix of excitement/nerves and during they first half being 3-0 up was fucking mad.

Won't talk about what happened after that though

I remember sitting in my arm chair as Arsenal schooled a prime Barcelona in the Emirates. Barcelona were beaten in their own game and Jack Wilshere took Xavi's soul that very night.

I have a feeling City will learn what it feels like to have a few decisions go against them for once this season over these two legs.

Well yeah, 2 man midfield will be Bayern all over again imo. Just not the right system to play even with Fernandinho who will not be 100%.

Gonna be interesting to see City's approach, all the talk is they are gonna attack but surely they are gonna sit and hit Barca on the counter.

0-0 at home in the 1st leg is a very good result these days so if I were City I would be keeping it as tight as possible and try to nick something on the break or from a set piece.

I watched Barca against Rayo though and they seemed to have the intensity back in their game they have been lacking for quite a while. Iniesta inparticular seems to be hitting top form at the right time and Messi, aka the best player in the world, looks fully fit now.

              Will be a cracking game.

On a side note, Bet365 are doing a £50 free in play offer on this match. For those familiar with matched betting you can make a guaranteed 30 quid or so by laying on Betfair.

Oh for sure, British teams get screwed over in Europe big team.

I never said I wouldn't be excited for the game Obviously it's a big night.

But I don't think it's season defining if we were to get knocked out. At this point I'd still take league over winning the CL.

In terms of excitement and nerves it isn't even in the same ballpark as the derby game at the end of the season when we won the title (still the only game that I've ever been genuinely nervous in the buildup). Or even the later rounds of the cup run in '11.

Tomorrow though Pellegrini could make it so much easier for us if he sits Garcia and Dinho in the middle with Yaya in the free role. Yaya's unique in the sense that he's probably the only guy of that size in the world with ability to consistenly run through an opposition midfield. Real didn't have a clue what to do with him at the Bernabeu last season when he ran at them. But he won't really have license to do that cos we will see a 2 man midfield so I digress.

Now I see what Wenger was talking about.

I thought Arsenal fans were supposed to be the ones without ambition.

I was genuinely gutted/shocked when Rafael got sent off.

When Nani got sent off last year I was angry, real agree.
