Messi can do all that but he's an actual midget so he obviously won't score as many with his head. He kinda makes up for it by being able to control and dictate a game. Something C.Ronaldo can't do. Messi could drop into a deeper role and play until he was 40. Could C.Ronaldo?

I can't believe he put scoring from a pen as one of the ultimate criteria of greatness. Even though England are **** at it, most professionals should be able to score with a free shot from 12 yards. It's not what I personally look for in a great player.

You're absolutely right. Hell, I can put it in the goal from 12 yards out. Doing it at the highest level takes a bit of mental fortitude but you'd expect any professional to score a penalty eight times for every ten tries.

Ronaldo used to have to cheat to score penalties, by doing what was called the "stutter step" but which was actually stopping in his run up.

Seriously a penalty is a free shot on goal, why would you need to resort to trickery to put it in the goal?
