Clearly they have got money this time around but i think even with Suarez they won't be title challengers. They should have bought Higuain for less money and used the rest of that £40 mill or however much they have to invest in other parts of the squad. They're not in Chelsea's situation where all they need is a top striker to be challenging, i'd say Arsenal still need to strengthen the defence. Plus Suarez is still banned for 6 games i believe.

Bad news for Spurs fans if it does happen though because there's no way they're getting Champions League qualification anymore considering how strong the top 4 teams would be. Unless Moyes manages to make the mother of all fuck-ups!

You shouldn't be amazed and people should now realise that Wenger's lack of spending wasn't some choice that he stuck by. It was forced upon him.

Higuain is not worth £30m +. I don't care how much money we have. If we're going to spend that kind of money on one player, it might as well be a more rounded striker like Suarez.

Our defence was the 2nd best in the league last season in terms of goals conceded - better than United's. I'd be ok with Mertersacker/Koscielny starting and Vermaelen is pretty good backup but looks like he might be injured for a while. Either way, I don't think we're going to spend heaps on someone who'd most likely be 4th choice. Midfield is where I'd like to see more investment. I was hoping for Fellaini. Diaby's career looks to be virtually over so we have no real physical presence in there.

Defense isn't bad. Andre Santos officially left. Gibbs is decent and the kid Nacho Montreal is nice. Speaking of Nacho, I read he got a back injury and will miss the start of the season.
