Atletico are better than Porto. That also brings up the important point that Porto play in a bum league which explains why most of their already overrated players don't make it at bigger clubs.

It's not exactly the same as Overmars, Petit, Vieira, Henry, Anelka etc who were all proven in the Premier League with winner's medals.

He has, it isn't even a debate. He was dodgy as **** towards the end at Arsenal. At City he's one of the first names on the teamsheet.

They went to better teams than the one they were at and they failed to produce the same level of performance, same as 95% of footballers making the step up have done. That's the bottom line.

Most of their performance dipping is down to philosophy of play and the role they previously played and currently play.

Perfect example: Nasri. He played on a team in Arsenal where he fit a specific function/niche of the team's style o play. Was great because it fit his strengths. Goes to City, doesn't play the same role and is tasked with a role that doesn't play to his strengths. Doesn't look as shiney.

Or Fabregas. He looks like shyt cause he can't be the dictator of play and isn't allowed to sit on the ball like at Arsenal. He has to pass with the first touch and move 3 yards at a time. Makes him look like shyt.

And I want to say, Guarin has played very well at Inter. He is really the only bright spot on that trainwreck of a club. Hulk is so-so. He destroyed liverpool but is sketchy in league. Cold ass weather probably kills him. Even my boy Willian got hurt going to Anzhi, that cold ass weather.

Aguero also came from madrid.. to a team expecting to win the league every year.. but still plays great.. what happenes there?

Benfica are a club who have sold players that have gone on to become stars in the last few years. Of the top of my head they sold Di Maria, David Luiz, Ramires, Witsel etc and that is just in the last 2/3 years. This year they will probably Gaitan and Matic who will go on and become good players as well.

He hasn't "improved". He was outstanding when he first broke into the Arsenal first team. Now he's just there.....average.

You're talking about pretty bummy players moving from bum leagues to better leagues. Arsene Wenger was selling top players - World Cup Winners and Premier League winners. Comparison fails.
