To be honest Fergie is moving up to Director and will be doing Gill's old job and overseeing signings etc so if they do end up with Moyes then I'm pretty sure he would be constantly getting Fergie's input over the first year or two.

Fergie would still have a massive influence over the club. Only difference is Moyes would be stood on the sidelines.

I hope it's Mourinho, he has that big club attitude. I'm 100% sure the replacement has already been secured. This must have been known for a while now. Mourinho sucking up of united during the champion league game leads me to believe its him.

Moyes I'm not so certain about. I'm not sure he has what it takes to win trophies.

Mourinho would be my ideal choice, word is he's going to Chelsea, but if he's available United should definitely get him.

Man United are the most hated team in England and have been for as long as anyone can remember.
First things first you old ****! second I love being the most hated club in the country generally means you're the most successful. Ie Madrid, Munich and Milan in other countries.

I think Mourinho to united would literally lead to Chelsea committing suicide! I mean honestly I can just see Stamford bridge uprooting itself and committing suicide on the central line (like every other depressed **** seems to do).

There's no chance another manager will get anywhere near the 90 points that **** has managed to get out of that United squad.

Moyes taking over at United would remind me of when we brought in Mark Hughes. A manager who overachieved on little resources, with no one having a clue what he'd do with a bigger budget/bigger personalities. A big gamble.

Either way, that's the biggest loss United have had in any of our lifetimes by a distance. It would suprise me if a new manager comes in and retains the title first season.

No worries im being a ******ed **** today

The safest choice I think is Mourinho, he spends a lot and will leave after a few seasons but he will keep United's trophy cabinet ticking over, maybe get another title, and get United used to life without Fergie.

Lucks run out now, will be interesting to see if Martinez stays or not. I think he could be a solid manager for a team with more resources in the Prem

Can tell you've never been involved in a relegation battle

There is nothing "fun" about it believe me

As the news spread of Fergie retiring fans poured into the streets of London crying

                      Manchester was relatively quiet
