That ****ing foreigner rule in europe shafted us. I'd love to know how we would've done with todays rules about players. Even the likes of Giggs was counted as a foreigner cos he was welsh.

I believe your right they got Buffon to replace VDS, but i can tell you from having the likes of Barthez, i'd prefer a solid but v good keeper like VDS every single day.

You guys never replaced ur GK either really and got Almuni/Lehman who has ****ed up quite a few times at important points.
To be fair to Seaman's slide had started before the 2002 World Cup, not excuse for Nayim goal though, he got the flight of the ball all wrong. There was a guy who played for Zarragoza in that game called Juan Esnaider, he scored a cracker of a half volley and i thought he'd be a player in the future, did'nt hear much from him after that but he did play for Juve after that by all account. Gotta be honest i cried my eyes out that night when Nayim scored, its probably the most emotional ive ever got about a Foobtall match. We had a great cup run that year knocking out Sampdoria on penalties, we were going out then Stefan Schwarz scored a goal from the edge of the box in the dying seconds to take it to penalties or extra time, ironically enough Roberto Mancini was playing in that side with Attilio Lombardo, Seaman denied Lombardo in the shoot out to take us though if i remember right.

Lehman is massively overrated by Arsenal fans, he gets notoriety because he was in that 2004 side rather than because he was actually any good, he dropped clangers against Kiev in the group stages and when we played Chelsea in the CL quarter final he dropped a clanger in both games. The only thing that stands out in the season that Lehman did well was when we were playing Pompey and Yakubu was through and Lehman managed to deny him to keep the unbeaten run going.

Lehman must hold the record for most cards being shown to a goalkeeper.

Yeah that's ****** about Giggs. I loved watching Giggs flying down the wing and the sheer class of Cantona, 2 of my favourite players ever.

              By Chris Harris

Arsčne Wenger has experienced some injury-hit seasons in his time as Arsenal manager - but none as bad as this one.

The Frenchman went into Saturday's 2-0 win over Stoke City with eight walking wounded: Eduardo (thigh), Abou Diaby (calf), Nicklas Bendtner (groin), Theo Walcott (hamstring), Robin Van Persie (ankle), Gael Clichy (back), Kieran Gibbs (foot) and Johan Djourou (knee). By the time the final whistle blew at Emirates Stadium, that total had soared to 12 after Tomas Rosicky (groin), Emmanuel Eboue (leg), Armand Traore and William Gallas (both hamstring) all suffered knocks.

Wenger could pick a very handy side from that list - although he'd be struggling for a keeper - and the manager believes that Arsenal's injury problems are exacerbated by the fact that they have been concentrated in one area of the squad.

"Yes, at the moment it is our worst season for injuries," said Wenger.

"What happens is that we have injuries in the same area. Last year it was defensively, this year it is up front.

“It is true [that we pick up more injuries than the other big teams], you cannot deny that. We cannot say there is no reason for that but we have not found it.

"It's very difficult to find a common denominator to all our injuries.

“For example Tomas and Eduardo get injuries because they have been out for a long time. Then you have Van Persie who has been injured with the national team. Theo is in and out because when he came back he was tackled against Birmingham and since then he hasn't played."

              Now please STFU.

So what part of keyplayer didnt u get? haha

Van P, yeah we know he was gonna be out for long...Gallas was back soon enough...diaby was back the game after stoke...half of them were back quick enough, the rest are not exactly great players

Im not gonna go into to much detail...i could go find all our injuries we had, but its beside the point....the fact is both teams have struggled all season keyplayer/not key players....

And we are still on top

Due to your experience of winning things consistently for the last 18 years or so.

                    Apart from that.
