The day I stopped caring about England's games properly is that 0-0 draw with Algeria 2010.

Realistically, we'll always be a quarter-final team. So qualification isn't even exciting because most of us treat it as a prerequisite and who cares anyway because when we get there we wont have a realistic chance of winning the tournament.

The issue with most of us on here is that we support big clubs who play big games and have great players. It would be different if you supported Yeovil Town because then England would be the peak of your fandom and England vs Ukraine would be the glamour game.

Basically must of us don't care because we support big teams and we're football snobs.

I care more about Chelsea anyway but we're also better and compete at a higher level than England in relative terms so what you said is one way of putting it.

But I can't remember if I cared more about England when we had a strike force in which Neil Shipperley was the great hope.

Also International football is just gash and the premiership is the greatest league on earth.

England playing really well tonight though and getting beat.

Traditionally, supporters of the big clubs never give a ****e about England. Man U and Liverpool fans being particularly averse to the national team it's always been that way/

Being a lower league minnow fan myself, I know very few fans who would choose country over club.
