if you watch rdm when he was with mk dons. he uses a style a lot like madrid.

i think if that kind of style is what he prefers, he will do very well. But he will need to get the players accustomed to it. they have to learn his style then get chemistry going.

They just need to keep the ball better.

For whatever reason, we've always been ****ty at keeping the ball outside of my favourite Chelsea teams from 97-2001.

Even with the dominant Mourinho teams we'd regularly be down on possession stats against average teams. I'm not sure why this is. An argument is that JT is so slow that our defensive line is so deep that it brings all the team back too deep and makes counter-attacking necessary. Not sure about that. I think Lampard, Ramires, Essien, and Meireles, and Torres are all capable of giving the ball away very cheaply in order to play the killer pass. In the case of Ramires he just really isn't a very good passer full stop but he is a dangerous runner. They just need to pick the right option.
