            This goes to show how weak the whole EPL is this season. United and City both won 28 games this season, one away from the record set from Chelsea in 04-05. Yet both of these teams failed to get out of the group stages of the Champions League and were ruthlessly knocked out of the Europa League.

            Poor year in English Club football and will get worse in Euros
