Samir Nasri insists Manchester City will win a major trophy before Arsenal – and has told Gunners fans to lay off him and worry about their own team instead.
The Frenchman received non-stop abuse on his Premier League return to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon and was booed every time he touched the ball during City’s 1-0 defeat.
That loss left Roberto Mancini’s side eight points behind Manchester United but Nasri, who left north London in a £24m move in the summer in search of silverware, insists he has no regrets over his switch to the north-west.
The midfield star said on Twitter: “I'm aware what I said about titles. I'm sure I will lift a trophy with Man City before AFC [win anything]
“And [to] all the Arsenal fans, move on. [City are] 10points ahead of you. Just support your team and forget about me.”
Damn nasri going in hard
