I said it before - Inter weren't really prepared for Bale. They were dealing with the unknown and Maicon was not fully fit. Bale gets credit for those performances but what has he done since?

If Sp*rs make the CL again, then we'll really see what's up. Cos now European defences will be on to him.

Walcott did similar things to Barcelona and AC Milan yet has never gotten the same credit.

True. It's a ridiculous argument but you can see why they are saying that because they are both Arsenal fans and will never give Bale credit for anything.

to be fair to Valencia and Bale they will never compete at the top for their national teams because the countries they play are not that good will not qualify for major tournaments

in champions league bale played well last season and we will have to wait see what he does next season
