He's been warming teh bench, and he's not happy about it. He finally got his first start for America last week, they lost 1-0, it was teh first match they lost so far this season, he was partly to blame for teh goal as well.

Don't use that stepping thing that the tutorial tells you to, where it's like hit b and you stick your foot out. Well, O for ps3 I think it is? All that is going to make you do is cause a lot of fouls. Big chance you may miss the ball and you'll look like an idiot standing there while the other guy runs by.

Holding down A, which is to contain works, the difference from this and last game is, in this one your guy won't be an incoming missile and take the ball away. Hold the RB to call the 2nd player to help.

I usually come at one side and hold RB so the bot comes from the other side and closes in the guy with the ball.

Positioning is important, sometimes I just hold rb and let the bot press the guy on the ball and with the player i'm controlling i go back to fix my backline and anticipate an airball he might try to put.

A+RB is your best bet at defending. If you get really good at slide tackling that can be helpful but I suck at it and rarely ever tackle unless I know there's no chance of me missing it.


For attacking, I usually do a mixture of this, stepovers, and roulettes.
Btw, the guy in the video is wrong, elastico is a 4 star move not 5. Very effective in this game cause in the last guys ran into you half way into the move and nothing happens, in fifa 12 you can pull it off effectively or get fouled.


Fake rabona is my fav move, it's 5 stars, and knowing you, you like using wingers a lot so this will be helpful. Do it when your running down and a defender is near you chasing, when you do it, it's basically a sudden stop facing the center giving you a clear attempt to cross and the defender...well, he likely ran past you.


I just do the fake, not the actual shot cause it's very inaccurate for me.

This helped alot! My defence is alot tighter now and i concede far less goals. Gone back to 5-4-1, similar to my Fifa11 version with a few tweaks and it's working a treat.

When you use 5 star team, you will always play either Real, Barca, or Brazil.

Most of the time Real users put Ronaldo as their main foward so expect a lot of throughballs cause they will just try to out run you.

I fear AC Milan players. They're actually a really really good team in this game, I use em every once in awhile.

I do the Swansea City method of passing the ball in my own half till a gap opens up and play a through ball.
