His performances against Inter were great. But to be a world class player, you have to do it consistently. At the moment, he doesn't.

I think a lot of that had to do with Inter just not being prepared for him. He was an unknown quantity. Will be interesting to see how he copes if Sp*rs get back into the CL and the top European teams are now wise to him.

Di Maria is good but how useful is he on a gurney? And we can go over stats but lets be honest. If Bale played with that team and faced that level of competition, he'd be even more hyped than he currently is. He'd easily double his stats on that team and facing those opponents.

I'll give Di Maria the edge on passing ability, no doubt. Bale isn't the best passer and can make the wrong decision, holding too long or at times even being selfish.

But I'd take Bale over Di Maria any day. One is a beast. Big, strong, fast with a powerful shot and the other is a good player with world class players around him. Bale has been around for some time but he really hasn't done shit till now but right now, yeah, he's better than Di Maria. One is a role player, the other is coming into a star.

Yes. He has always played on the left at Benfica and the national squad. He's naturally a left winger. When he was bought it brought great concern because like you said, Ronaldo dominates the left so they thought DiMaria was a waste of money that would rot on the bench.

Proved everyone wrong. Takes talent to play either side on the level he does. Even Robben isn't as effective on the left as he is on the right, and that's a world class player.

The bold really describes the Premier League. You need strength and Bale uses his pace to beat defenders. You see, this seperates La Liga and the Premier League. One is more on the physical side while the other is more technical.
