Balotelli would never be at Man City if Hughes was still in charge.

Silva for what, 24 million? Yaya 24 million, Balotelli 24 million, Dzeko 27 million... Mancini has payed some damn good prices too when he has spent.

I think El Fenomeno has been pretty accurate in his assessments of Hughes and Mancini, and the transfers....

Hughes is a fantastic manager and really knows how to get the most out of a tight budget in the transfer market. He's proven this at Blackburn and will prove it again at QPR.

Where he failed is not knowing quite what to do when he isn't on a shoestring, hence overpaying for so many players.

Dzeko at that price is good in comparison to Carroll, I don't rate dzeko much at all tbh and if you're saying ADE had only 10 or so good games the same can be argued for dzeko he had a great start and then went Right of the boil..

Tevez was a top buy and did great for city.. Yes he is a ****

Ballotelli is still hit and miss a bit like robihno but far more likely to do something ****** and get sent off..

Mancini is like mourhino he inherited a very good spine and added a few top players to it in silva, toure. The likes of Barry, lescott, kompany, de Jong (last season ) were already there

Critics disguised themselves as players, says Warnock

NEIL Warnock has blamed critics for his dismissal, claiming they posed as opposition footballers that kept beating his team.

Queens Park Rangers' chairman Tony Fernandes sacked Warnock earlier this month, stating that the short-term vision of the club had been realigned to focus more on not getting their arses kicked all the time.

But dinner lady-faced anagram Warnock said: “Football critics have been infiltrating every echelon of football in a concerted effort to make me appear to the untrained eye like a cack-brained buffoon that couldn’t manage to get eleven sheep to shit in a field.
“They have an agenda of stopping the world from seeing the true magnificence of Neil Warnock and they are ultimately to blame for what people mistakenly believe are my manifest failings.”

Warnock has produced a 1,293-page dossier detailing the various ways critics have conspired to ruin his career, from steering radio-controlled footballs 35 yards over the crossbar during matches to his belief that Adel Taarabt is actually bearded, 22-stone Daily Mail columnist Martin Samuel in disguise.

He estimates that one in three opposition players were actually football pundits dressed as professional athletes, confusing his side into submission by bombarding them with questions about the percentage of effort they were giving during matches.

He also claims that his 6-0 defeat against Fulham this season never actually happened, with the game actually being a scrappy 1-0 win for QPR, but the critics spread so many rumours of his side being humped that they were eventually believed to be true.

Warnock added “One day, my sacking will be seen as a conspiracy to rival the JFK assassination, the only difference being that people were quite sad when that happened.”

Not sure how he can overpay for anyone at man city either

Clubs knew they had ****** money and charged inflated prices especially for English talent. Hughes and Mancini most likely tell the board the guys they want and that's it the board/agents do the rest, it's not like football manager

You can't deny that silva/toure were brilliant bits of business though, not sure how much time they had left on contracts, I know yaya was not always first choice at barca though. I do think buying from abroad is a lot cheaper though...

Valencia cost what 19-20m cause he had a good season with Wigan.. Silva is 10* the player he is

A friend asked me to come up with a team of the season so far for the premier league.

This is what I came up with:

                    Vorm

                    Richards---Skrtel---Kompany---Enrique

                    Parker----Yaya Toure

                    Mata----Silva----Aguero

                    Van Persie

Subs: Hart, Phil Jones, Assou-Ekotto, Cabaye, Modric, Bale, Demba Ba.

Who do you guys think should be in the team of the season so far?

                    Comment

I honestly cant think of 11 players who have been that great.
