I read about their support a while ago. They're like the United of Italy, the most well supported club but most of the support comes from areas other than Turin. They apparently have more fans in Rome and Milan than they do Turin, so they actually sell more tickets for away games in those cities than they do for home games. Weird club.
That's why their new stadium was a good idea. The Delli Alpi had a huge capacity and a massive running track round it:
It was never full and everyone moaned about the crap atmosphere because of how far away the fans were from the pitch.
The new stadium is nowhere near as spectacular, but there's no running track and the capacity is smaller so the atmosphere at their games should improve ten-fold.
Jesus though, people call Liverpool a fallen giant, look at the downfall of Juve...
