    Both players should be banned for the same amount of games. Gervinho tried to get a penalty by diving and then slapped Barton. At the same time Barton has reacted in the worst way possible to his dive by grabbing him up and then dived on the floor like a little girl.

      The FA couldn't do anything about Barton as he'd already received a yellow, I am sure it would be different had he received no card or even got a red himself.

            He was clearly tripped. It doesnt matter how big or small the touch is. When you're moving with the ball at speed a small touch can knock you off balance. It was a clear penalty.
