TBH i really like Samba but he plays for a defence minded team that spends most of games in their own half. Would he be able to play in a team that plays with a high line? I'm not so sure, i think his lack of pace may be exposed.

He is just the type of guy you need.. you haven't had a guy like him since Keown, Campbell, Adams etc left.. those guys love to defend and fit well with English football... who is the best defender in the PL right now? Vidic.. he isn't exactly blessed with blinding pace either

In Europe? possibly not the best buy ever but for the league he would be great imo

More the fact that Samba has been a long term Arsenal target in an area Arsenal have been pretty poor for some time but now are about to be beaten him by your biggest rivals.

Why? it's probably the Swarzher situation all over again last year.. Wenger/Board don't want to pay that extra million.. probably it will coem back to haunt him like that one did in the carling cup

A long term target according to the papers. Even if we are in for him, I dont care about losing him to Sp*rs. They are masters of paying over the odds for average players. Chris Samba is big and tall so suddenly hes the solution to our defensive problems. Forget the fact that he cant play football and is a bit of a slow clumsy oaf.

I would prefer him to the other names being mentioned if i'm being honest (Cahill, Jagielka). He has height and strength, our team lacks both.
