Yeah but my reservations are with what we do after our media hypes us up again for coasting through an easy group. Hopefully it's not the same old England, we've got some good young players coming up, I'd like to see the likes of Smalling and Wilshere develop into permanent roles by then. I don't think Rio, Lampard and a few others should stay on after the Euro's - we really need fresh legs.

Yeah, would be time for Rio, Lampard to move on. Gerrard, Cole and Terry MIGHT be able to make 2014 or just be in the squad..

Wilshere will be a star for England. Looks so comfortable on the ball. Great little player..


With the group, it does have some tricky ties in there but on paper we should be progressing. We could have had it a lot worse with France and maybe Czech Republic too. San Marino is a guaranteed 6 points whereas Wales would have had a small chance of getting a result against us in Wales.

We will probably drop a few points away from home but would be very surprised if we didn't qualify if we take opponents seriously.
