Chelsea did great against Barca last time they met, but Barca were the team who advanced, even tho Chelsea were robbed by the ref. But come on, the Chelsea that almost beat Barca would not get 0-0 vs a mediocre danish team at home. This years Chelsea aint that good. While Barca are stronger than ever. Oh and Messi wouldnt be facing Ashley Cole, since Messi doesnt play on the wing anymore. Messi is now a centre attacker, David Villa and Pedro are on the flanks.

Barca had many massive players back then and have certainly had worse seasons

If Chelsea click they can be a huge problem for anyone.. i was pissed that United got them.. i would have prefer anyone except maybe Barca.

Utd having the 2nd leg at home is a massive advantage.

The game is going to be close, I think Torres is the key for any success this year... if he can hit form in the next few weeks we'll have the goals to go with a solid defence and midfield, I think Drogba needs more time to get his confidence back
Inter and Schalke are very beatable in the next game... and if it is Barca in the final, solid defence won't be good enough alone... we'll be holding on again like last time
This is a good opportunity, just need to start scoring more.

Thoughts on United-Chelsea quarter final match up

Can see it being even more cagey than usual
Both teams know how good this draw is to get to the final
At the moment both would go out if they were playing Real or Barca
Shakhtar would give anyone problems to... so the draw is probably as good as it could be
United were all over Chelsea in the first half last time, which is worrying... but hopefully with more confidence we can break them down sooner this time around.
