Roy had a pathetic budget, the best he was given only allowed him to sign quite obviously below par players like Konchesky and two dreadful free transfers. Hodgson had Liverpool's best two players injured for lengthy periods.

I'm sure if Roy had £70 million on the table at the start of the season (no fault of his own) Liverpool would be in a hell of a lot better position now.

The fact they initially bid 12 million for Suarez just shows that the club has turned into a joke.

What exactly is Damien Commoli doing as "Director of football strategy".

It's like he thought they could get Suarez on the cheap and "King" Kenny has been watching Match of The Day from his home in Dubai and just decided today that if Torres is leaving than "I WANT CARROLL".

I'm only speculating here but he could of possibly threatened to leave if they didn't get Carroll and that would of left them in a right old mess so they got him at any price.
