Fucking hell Sky are slow. They still have 'Man City interested in Seb Larsson' on the yellow ticker when it was established at about half 2 that he was staying at Birmingham.
Tbh I think it's an insult that Carroll is going for 35 million. Newcastle must be pissing themselves.
Oh and every fucker will now be using Chelsea on fifa, if they weren't already.
" Hang on a minute, if Andy Carroll does move to Liverpool who is he going to live with? And who is going to take his room at Kevin Nolan's house? Presumably Stephen Ireland is already being lined up to fill that vacancy, but as for Carroll I can only see one man/beast being able to handle putting up Carroll: one Sotirios Kyrgiakos. "
The problem with Newcastle and Carroll is we can all sit here and say he's not worth £35 million (which he isn't, £20 million at best i would say!) and that Newcastle would be ****** not to take the offer. But Carroll is the reason why they are doing so well and if you look at the market recently there's been even less and less center forwards on the market. They seem like a dying breed, you can get various pacey/skilful forwards who drift out to the wings, cut inside and all that etc. but when looking for a real No. 9 classic center forward they can be tricky to get hold of and the ones who do fit in the catagory are committed to their clubs or will only leave for mega sums of money to the biggest clubs possible. Look at Darren Bent, before this window nobody would ever dream of paying that sum of money for him, but that's what it took Villa to get a proper goalscorer. Aston Villa are a mid table/europa league side they would never have spent that much money in the old days, and also i don't believe Sunderland would have demanded that much money for him in the old days.
Newcastle have to keep hold of Carroll no matter what the offer because they won't be able to replace him i guarantee it, anyone else who comes in won't do a better job. He's a young and promising England international in the mould of strikers that we used to see that don't come around much anymore. If Newcastle sell him the best replacement they are going to find is Hugo Rodallega or something which just isn't good enough, Mike Ashley isn't going to be shelling out £30 million for Fernando Llorente anytime soon the way he runs his football club.
