The thing is though, there is no such thing as a pure finisher anymore. Forwards have to be more complete players. Being good at finishing wont get you far in the modern game.

If we talking about pure strikers then the likes of Sheva, Inzaghi, Romario, Ronaldo, Vieiri come to mind. (Im not saying all these are better than Ruud)

I agree to some degree but imo when you say pure finishers what comes to mind for me is David Villa. Imo he's a good player but his best asset is his finishing, give him the ball anywhere in the box and he'll make you the goal.

That's what I think of chicharito. Say what you want about him but you have to be true goalscorer to do what he does. He takes his shots when he gets them and make his headers. Epl is full of guys a lot taller then him but somehow he makes his headers and is a danger in the air. Not sayings he's an amazing finisher but he's getting very good and has the mindset of a finisher.
