I don't care when you think Owen wasn't relevant etc. I'm saying that Owen is better than Forlan when comparing their best versions.

Forlan is a very good player, much better than Owen now. But on their best day, Owen is better. You say Forlan, let's just end it at that.

And by the way, Forlan is disqualified from this argument he's a mutant.

When is the last time Owen was named BEST PLAYER of a WORLD CUP?

The thing is though, there is no such thing as a pure finisher anymore. Forwards have to be more complete players. Being good at finishing wont get you far in the modern game.

If we talking about pure strikers then the likes of Sheva, Inzaghi, Romario, Ronaldo, Vieiri come to mind. (Im not saying all these are better than Ruud)
