Well English teams have won the league ten times since it started in 1955. Spanish teams won 12 times along with Italian teams. Six of those wins by Spanish teams came in the last 20 years. If you go back to the 70s and 80s no Spanish team won the Champion's League at all.

In other words this sort of thing doesn't exactly matter because sometimes there'll be a run of good results for a particular team which tends to even out over time.
