Real Madrid y mi Barca con derrotas.

I'll be rooting for USMNT hopefuls to lose or do poorly

Return those hype jobs to earth. Dest should have chosen Nederlands like any true footballer with self respect.

Don't sleep on Ligue 1. PSG is always the favorite but a few clubs might do a Monaco.

La Liga might get interesting just because of Luis Suarez at Atletico. They've haven't had a striker as clutch as him since Falcao really.

Zlatan doing in Inter was nice. If he does the same to Juve. It's going places.

Good for when clubs are in a downward spiral. Him and Allardyce, even moyes are good for stopping the bleeding.

But cant expect them to progress a club. Palace play some chit football truly.

Got pva and clyne on the bench, with a little german playmaker. But rather sit a stale 442 as if already in relegation. Awful.

That's why I like Howe so much. Actually tries to play football and intelligently as well. which is rare for english managers really.
That was honestly the biggest ****house game I think I've ever seen us play. Literally did nothing the whole day and should have won from 1 flop until Joel Ward did Joel Ward things. Can't wait for Nathan Ferguson to be fully fit

          Adjust mother****ers
          I really doubt that.

Without getting in to how it has bastardised the game because it's just not replicable across the English football pyramid or any but the top leagues in Europe - VAR for marginal offsides is basically just made up.

Offsides given are STILL subjective calls if they are marginal.

The offside is offside statement of fact only rings true if the tech is infallible and the people controlling it are.

We shouldn't have to adjust and by that I mean a global we. Anybody who likes football.

If you rule a goal out for offside by a hair, a shoulder, a toe, you must absolutely know that it is offside.

          Absolutely.

This isnt basketball. It is a low scoring game so the benefit of doubt must always go with the side that has scored a goal. Which until recently was a key tenet of the game.

Do you think these calls absolutely are offside beyond doubt when they're that marginal?

For me it is totally arbitrary. We have vector lines which cant be without fault as the camera positioning in every single stadium is not standard, freeze frames which are paused just whenever someone feels they should be, but unless we can be absolutely certain to the absolute nanosecond a ball has left someones foot - you cannot rule anyone offside with certainty if it is marginal. So any less than half a body width I simply:

          1. Don't believe in the technology to spot that.

          2. Believe that the people controlling the footage arent just stopping and rolling footage based on what feels right.

          I actually hate Liverpool.

          Genuinely.

But their goal being ruled out was absolutely farcical.

Hodgson looks like he doesn't even have the mind to try to win.

            I feel sorry for Zaha.

              I don't know.

              Offsides is pretty simple.

Of all the VAR stuff, I think offside is the least controversial.

Because they have set the precedent to be "if even a fingertip is behind. it's offside"

In that situation it's tough for Liverpool but imagine if it was the lines judge. If they raised the flag and called Mane offside, how would Liverpool react or anyone who watches football react?

It'd largely be the same thing. "The linesman was wrong and hasn't a clue." Right?

It's a harsh call for them. It was the difference between winning or not but they have to stay consistent with calls. To be fair.

At the minute the tech can run at 4 frames a second. So there is basically 4 frames they can pick.

You roll back 1 frame and Mane is easily on side.

Tbf he looked level even in the frame they picked ffs.

They know it is nonsense too which is why we dont see those lines anymore.

So these are subjective calls being made really. So it is no different to what we had before really.

Worse probably because more goals are ruled out.

I wonder if they could adapt that tennis technology.

Like the one they use at Wimbledon, that can mark a tennis ball hit 120mph, a cxnt hair over the line.

They do dont they? They use that for goal line.

I dont think you can tidy up the offsides really other than to use common sense and award a goal for anything marginal

That’s going to be hard unless they change the rules again. Like they did with the handball.

Lampard’s obsession with Mount is killing me. Seems like he came to the realization that Havertz is clearly better but can’t bring himself to drop Mount completely.
