There's no reason to have Drinkwater on 75k/wk to never play. I would rather have Baker in the practice squad for some 35k/wk less.

May as well use the appeal to delay the process and set things up for a period of austerity.

Face value, the transfer ban seems HORRIBLE for Chelsea, but....

they have an ageing side with a number of players who simply aren't good enough to win or even come close to major honours (i'm talking PREM/CL not EFL cups) anymore. A lot of the players in the current side are either too old, stubborn or just simply not good enough to adapt to Sarri. Sarri's system is quick and requires you to be very fit and know how each other plays inside out.

I think this will help them in getting rid of dead weight and prioritise the youth. Sarri can develop the youth and press his system on to them. They have some good young talent.

The last time Chelsea looked somewhat dangerous was during Conte's first season and even that wasn't the whole season either only from just before Xmas.

They can get rid of Sarri, it won't fix their problems. It'll only make them worse.

I’m pretty certain Sarri gets sacked next Thursday.

Steve Holland and John Terry have been watching the academy teams and the first team.

It doesn’t fix the problem and I know he’s won games Sarri but the current form is abject and he’s going backwards.

They need drop the defensive line 20 meters and break in numbers. Then if they’re playing a very weak team at home they can move that defensive line up the pitch.

Sarri doesn’t accommodate the opposition. And our players aren’t good enough generally to be a purely front foot team.

Chelsea will be punished tomorrow. And if so it’s unacceptable really after already getting pummelled by the same opposition.
