Spurs aren’t worming their way back in.

Spurs will never win a league title.

Never. until they get over the linein any competition they just won’t be able to deliver under pressure.

Spurs were appalling against Chelsea twice in that league cup. Chelsea have been dire for 2 months but they should have beaten Spurs by at least 4 clear goals over the two legs. It’s like they forget themselves under the brightest lights.

Chelsea are pony but they’re used to winning big games. Even this team. Spurs have zero no how.

That’s not to say Poch isn’t doing a sensational job. Spurs are tight. The only winner in their squad is Lloris. It’s not enough.

Same thing will affect Liverpool in the end imo although the culture there helps more.

Liverpool’s style is too tiring. I hate Liverpool tbh, but when they get surpassed it won’t be because they bottled it but because their style is too high intensity and can’t last well over 38 games.

When we played them we played quite well. I assumed we’d outlast them and finish above them never mind City. But they’ve had a sensational season so far.

    City are so economical.

Chelsea are the extreme crap version of City.

Spurs with Jose or Ancelotti probably win something.

Would have done themselves a big favor if they would have got Batshuayi or a similar player; Chicharito or something.

Just a little something extra. It's an immense presence to have when your backup can net you 10 in a season. Specially when your #1 is a top level striker bagging nearly 30 a season.

Spurs couldn't win it when the main rival for the season was Leicester.. no way they do anything this year.. I'd be sick to my stomach as a Spurs fan.. so much potential in that team.. they just needed further investment..

Instead they did an Arsenal and went for a new ground.. Arsenal couldn't compete for years and now even with the new ground they are like 5th or 6th best team in the league.. After being in the top 2 for donkeys years

Also another reason for hoping Liverpool win.. I just don't see them having continued success like City might if they win back to back titles..

Also even El Fenemeno wouldnt even be able pretend this City side is great if they only win 1 PL in 3 seasons. Sadly I think Liverpool lack the bottle

Flicker, Jose hasn't won anything without spending since Porto. What makes you think he does anything at Spurs? Ancelotti wouldn't do **** there too.

I actually do think Jose would be a success if he dropped down the levels.

                Say it Everton.

I think he could take a team that has finished 9th to the cusp of top 4 if that was his remit by just getting them to defend properly

The thing about this Spurs team is, do they even need to buy more? Or do they just need better planning for a run-in to some silverware?

Both Jose and Ancelotti wouldnt have tried to play a result vs Chelsea, they would have stifled and countered Chelsea and either finish 0-0 or squeeze a 1-0 win on the seco d leg.

Cause face it Chelsea are easy to stifle and are wide open on counter attacks because the defensive mid is a lightweight, the left back is slower than Mertesacker, and the left centerback is prone to disasterous error.

Maybe Spurs arent as pretty but considering the CV and ability to win trophies. I'd count on Jose getting some form of silverware with those workhorses than Poch having the 1st leg but still trying to play football in the 2nd with a depleted core.

Also, its not like Spurs dont have talent and need to buy.

Kane is one of the top 3 strikers in England. Arguably top 5 and certainly top 10 in the world.
Dele Ali is a proper finish. Say what yiu want but when you get 10+ goals out of a midfielder. You're in a good place.
Only Sterling, Salah, and Mane have more goals than Son from the wide position.
Eriksen is a world class midfielder. If we call Hazard world class, Eriksen is indeed world class.
Jan Vertonghen is a top notch CB
Lloris is a top notch GK as well.

Do they need to buy? Or do they need pragmatism when it counts? Serious question.
