Always felt if Chelsea somehow bought Lewandowski he'd be inexplicably poor.
He's not quick is he? I know Kane isn't rapid but he's really clever.
One of the main issues with Batshoes is also that he's actually a bit slow. Either that or he is just never orientated properly to where the ball is or where it's going
He's no Michael Owen but Lewandowski understands attacking positions almost flawlessly, I think that gets him around not being Sadio Mane fast.
Can't forget either that he played under Klopp's high tempo system as well and not every #9 can play in it. Ref: Benteke.
I think Lewandowski would be a massive success at Chelsea. He's better than Costa and much more intelligent. 29 years old though, as an athlete, that's getting up there in age. Not so much for every day life but to play sports; km on the legs.
When you go for it, despite being a goal up...you are open to being countered on the break which is literally Leicesters biggest strength. They literally went a whole season where teams didn't know what to do to stop it.
So why would they open themselves up and take more risks by potentially over-extending and going for it when they can play negative, keep it compact and retain the goal advantage.
I think he knows his system works IF the players play like he thinks. It looked like it was going that way literally until that one moment when Smalling had to go off.
He's the most pragmatic manager out there. Not everyones cup of tea but usually his plans work out. He didn't want to take a risk because he knew if they went for it and over-extended they would feed into Leicesters biggest strength which is the counter.
Leicester used to score a ton of set piece goals also.. sitting back and playing negative is a recipe for disaster.. this wasn't the 85th min either it was like 65th-70th.. The guy is far to negative in general and is not the right fit for United.
Having said that yet again a team plays vs us today and probably puts on the best display they have had this season.. what a joke were is the heart and passion vs City?
Despite the money Mourhino has spent I don't even see a huge improvement over LVG.. we had an awful league campaign last year and got saved by the Europa cup..
We are miles of the league title and I don't think any United fan really gives a **** if we finish 2nd or 4th.. So basically the guy better hope for a lengthy CL run or he might as well **** off before his usual dreaded third season

I think from a playing POV the team right now is MILES better to watch. Man Utd under LvG were mind-numbing to watch. They were very hard to beat under LvG, very tight at the back. They got so many draws under him. Jose's team this year are scoring more and conceding more too. The league at the top is stronger than it was in LvG's era. Liverpool, City, Spurs are clearly stronger. Chelsea are arguably weaker and Arsenal are probably better going forward but weaker defensively.
Jose at this point knows if he has to compete with City he has to buy. They haven't got anyone the calibre of Silva, KDB or Aguero in their side. Pogba perhaps but he doesn't really score as much as KDB/Aguero and isn't as influential as Silva is right now. City also did their business super early in the window and picked out their targets well early. Utd need to get rid off Herrera, Fellaini, Zlatan, Smalling, Jones, Shaw, that Italian RB. Build the team around Pogba, De Gea, Bailly, Rashford/Martial IMO. Keep the likes of Blind, that Arge LB/CB, Lingard. I'm not sure what to make of Mika. He has games where he looks excellent but then goes on a stretch where he's a passenger. They screwed up some big sales over the years with Snejder, Vidal, Pjanic and IMO should go after Sanchez as he can seriously play but i'm not sure where he'd play as he normally plays up front or on the left of the striker both positions are arguably the most stacked and I can see Martial leaving if Sanchez plays there.
The audacity of Moureen saying he needs more money. How much has he spent already?
Which is why he would love to go to PSG. Easy run in the league and just focus on the CL with a bigger budget than anyone in the world. Never felt he was a Man Utd sort of manager anyway. He was a perfect fit for Chelsea. They have a lot of money and don't give a crap about how football is played as long as you are getting results. Man Utd fans have been spoilt by Fergie. Even in the Fergie era they had times where they played boring football but still grinded out results and won the league. They aren't doing that anymore.
