Defence is standard so the only starting line up in question is the center of midfield, though we are pretty sure it's Lampard and Barry if Barry is fit and probably Gerrard on the left wing.
---------David James--------
Johnson-Ferdinand-Terry-Cole
Lennon-Lampard-Barry-Gerrard
-------Crouch--Rooney------
This looks like England's likely starting line up.
-----------Howard-----------
Bocanegra-DeMerit-Gooch-Cherundolo
Donovan-Bradley-Edu-Holden
------Altidore--Dempsey------

USA are a good team, they've shown that with a wins against good teams like Spain. Individually they are pretty crap, but as a team they work well. Whereas England are the opposite of that, great individuals but don't click as a team.
I see USA giving us problems especially since it's the first game of the tournament for us. Wouldn't surprise me to see USA get something from the game against England.
I'm expecting good wins against Algeria and Slovenia (tough wood!) so we should get through comfortably but we shouldn't underestimate any team, especially the USA.

USA are a good team who lost 4 out of 6 matches? they had a fluke run to the confederations cup final dude, spain are chokers do not forget this. Spain and Brazil are not going to win the world cup, one of those 2 will get to the semi/final MAX and a dark horse will win, Holland, Germany or Portugal or Argentina.

Also, on a side note, NOBODY is talking about the Netherlands! They have a brilliant squad and there is nothing stopping them from winning.
Van Persie
Sneijder
Van der Vaart
Huntelaar
De Jong
Van Bommel
Robben
Kuyt
They are a bit light in defense but their midfield and strike force is phenomenal.
