The only good thing about watching England is that our first game at a tournament always seems to be on a Saturday. Always a mega piss up.

Euro 2012 is literally the only time I can remember us not playing our first game on a Saturday since I was a kid. 2016/2014/2010/2006/2004 I'm pretty sure we started on a Saturday. Piss ups for days.

Think we only won like 1 of those games though. Good stuff.

To be fair all international football is dire. I wouldn't watch anyone play unless it was a tournament.

Croatia were probably the best team at the last tournament to watch and they got nowhere. At the end of the day none of the English players are why people watch the Premier league. But I am not for any sort of restructuring to help English players play regularly. It would ruin the league and drive down the quality even further.

Whilst it is nice to a local lad in the first team is nice. 99% of fans wouldn't tolerate him if he was average.

I would say we could probably fluke a good tournament at some stage regardless.

National team football in absolutely done. Turgid and boring and the players themselves don't really seem to care that much.

They came good in the end.

I had over 5.5 goals and was pulling my hair out at 1-0.

I reckon this has been the worst international break ever. Just months after a terrible tournament.

What a waste of time. Even the champions of the Euros got routinely despatched by an average Swiss side.

Proper rubbish. Even Sweden can't be arsed with it anymore their game against Holland was played in an empty stadium.

It is remarkable that the English team which have garnered more support from their public than anyone manage to still shit themselves whilst under basically no pressure. They're a modern day marvel.

I sort of need to work on Sunday for the money but I think I am going to have to sack it off.

And then Sunday night I've just scrolled through Sky Box Office and WWE has an event called Backlash
