Carrick is just ****ing ****, he plays the way he looks, half asleep & dopey as ****, he put a last ditch tackle in once but overall he was pants.

The formation and the midfield personnel did not work at all, its as i said before, England dont adapt to systems, strictly 4-4-2 only.
Tbh mate im not sure what Carrick is doing near the England squad.. he wasn't in it when he was doing semi decent for United, but now after a complete garbage season he is? shouldn't be in the 30 let alone 23 or whatever it is, center Mid is one place we are stacked.

We made Mexico look like Barca out there at times

Im seriously wondering about Gerrard right now he was allways prone to giving the ball away, but today it seemed 10x worse

I was under the impression that they started 4-4-2? Crouch and Rooney appeared upfront, i missed the first 20 or so, so im not 100% sure what formation it was.

You might be right about Rio/King but ill give them the benefit of the doubt the midfield protection was awful and playing with Johnson on the right can't be easy + Baines had a bad game also.

Was nice to see lennon come on and just burst into the scene....Johnson aswel....Rooney didnt have much service tonight, he was the 1 giving the passes to every1 else really...

Great goal from johnson although i still think hes a bad defender and up against the best will flop

And also thank *** ashley coles back....baines is a decent cover....but today he had a bad game minus 1 good run he made
He got pissed a couple of times, i hope he doesn't lose it in the world cup all though playing with Walcott (who was decent) he just might

Could of been then, but when the coverage started they seemed to suggest England were lining up with a 4-2-3-1, with Crouch being the focal point and Rooney playing behind as a number 10, although they might have got that wrong and its as you said...........4-4-2.

Good points, King and Rio were exposed from both flanks because of Baines & Johnson, not to mention Gerrard prolly not giving Baines adequate cover due to drifting infield, then you had Carrick and Milner offering all the restistance of a wet paper towel(down the middle)

I definetly think Gerrard has slipped a bit as a player.

Gerrard, Carrick, Baines, Walcott were all wank tonight. Lennon should clearly start ahead of Walcott, Milner had a good game compared to the rest of the team. Crouch managed to get his England goal as he usually does. Adam Johnson did well when he came on but didn't get much time to impress. Goalkeeping was good too. Defence was alright, good to see Ledley out there.

But yeah our midfield was so bad tonight it was hard to watch, outplayed by Mexico in the middle of the pitch! Mexico would have drawn or won tonight if Carlos Vela wasn't the worst striker of all time.

Unless the Chelsea boys can change this dramatically then we are clearly not ready for a World Cup.

Also, i'd like to say that Giovanni Dos Santos played well tonight, if i were Spurs i'd take him back off loan from Galatasary because he could be useful. Hernandez didn't look like he was up to much though.

Walcott is getting worse, might be better of taking him out the team and have him chomping at the bit to get on as an impact player, if not his confidence might hit rock bottom.

              That accolade goes to Berbaflop.

Super sub is fine but he can't start games.

Only positive along with the result is that England never perform at their best in friendly, never have, i learned this a long time ago, plus they were without Lamps, Barry and Cole.

I would of taken David Bentley, good technique to keep the ball, great delivery, can score 25 yard free kicks, can score from open play to.

Walcott and SWP are both the same, hot and cold impact players.

To be fair.. Start team is probably

                      James
                      Johnson (ugh) Terry Ferdinand Cole
                      Lennon Lampard Barry J.Cole
                      Rooney + some forward

Nothing like what we had on today, but do i really think its the weakest team in the last 10 years perhaps but least we got a manager who knows his ****. We shouldn't be easy to beat but i don't see anything real special nor do i see that key defensive midfielder.
