It seems like no team other than Barca can pass the ball out of defence so easily so you really have to look at the players who make that possible: Pique, Mascherano and Busquets. City ain't getting any of those players.

have to question Wenger's judgement that he would pick Flamini ahead of him until very recently.

Fortunately it doesn't really reflect badly on English football as most of the players in those teams playing in the Champions League are foreign. You can't support English teams in European football any more, as most of the players wearing the shirt aren't English.
