City got a good young player and in a position they needed to strengthen in. When he improves City instantly, no one will care about the price then.
But the criticism of buying success only really comes with the high price tags. You could spend £20 million on a toilet seat if you wanted.
If Man United win the league next season that accusation will be levelled at them by fans of the usual suspects Liverpool and Arsenal even though both clubs spend an arseload of money.
At the end of the day. The big four can all pretty much attract the same level of player. But the trick is getting the right ones.
Aside from recently, with Chelsea winning the league last season (a very underrated achievement). The club who spends the most in wages wins the league. Which makes sense because it means existing players are performing well and getting rewarded for good form.
Man U are still making wholesale changes. If they won the league it would be a bit of a shock and it would be a good achievement.Last edited by Sparked_26; 07-15-2015, 03:29 PM.

I know stats aren't the end all be all for a sport like this one but when you look at it. If City's wide players were sub-par or underwhelming. Sterling actually does nothing significantly better than anyone.
I mean, he has more goals than Navas and Nasri but when you look at Nasri, he makes up for it with tidy play, very Mata-esque. Where as Navas..... assists? I don't know, can't really come up with anything for him. (every time I watched him last season, he was booty cheeks)

If you put Navas in that Liverpool team his stats would be even worse than they were.
Not getting all this hate for Sterling. Everyone was up his arse not long ago now he's just another SWP type.Last edited by BodiesInFlight; 07-16-2015, 05:45 PM.

I even said I wouldn't mind him at Chelsea.
As long as 4drado or someone was sent away, i'd be down for it.
