The same thing they do when they find out or suspect that foreign powers are manipulating the media and spreading misinformation to weaken their rival. Look at both sides of the issue and try to be objective. Just for the sake of arguement suppose Russia or China determined that a weakened and divided USA would further their geopolitical position. Just for starters you would have to ask yourself are they capable of doing this and have they done similar things in other countries.
