Yea thats one organization that always kept in small numbers. The 12th of July is celebrated by the majority of the protestant community so theres a big difference

Community support kept the *********s going (on both sides).

It's interesting looking at all of this from the loyalist point of view. They're afraid of Irish unification, afraid of being swamped and losing their way of life and their country. As such they tried to maintain their dominance through oppression. The marches are both an attempt to maintain traditions and to stir up trouble.

And you think those groups and people are representative of that group?

The marches are nothing to do with stirring up trouble.

They are a catalyst for violence (from both sides) and give the loyalists a chance to gloat.

They should be allowed to go ahead due to free speech, but they aren't solely held to glorify tradition.

I think Ulster made (mostly) normal people do bad things.

Football matches are a catalyst for violence as well but we don't suggest they take place for anything other than sporting contest.

I have little interest in the marches because I find all religion a farce but it is inaccurate to say that they are intended to cause trouble, certainly not by the organisers who are embarrassed more than anyone by the moronic element which attach themselves to these parades.
