They were a very intelligent civilization, just like the Romans and Greeks who built some amazing monuments, your rite though, how they engineered something like that is mind boggling

Dude you like this stuff, read Technology of the Gods: The Incredible Sciences of the Ancients, and Fingerprints of the Gods. Both talk about Egypt and the Pyramids but go more in dept into it, like tools that they found that they have no idea what they were used for and even ancient batteries and weird hieroglyphics that may show early space travel. Fascinating stuff.
